VENOMLINE’S SAVAGE X JADA PUPPIES
Savage X Jada pups are heading out to their forever homes this week and over the weekend. Congrats to all of the new owners! Special thanks to Nate Nmg on another collaboration and stepping up while I’ve been out sick.
Here is a video of the litter- Savage’s 1st. He definitely did his thing on this one and blew away our wildest expectations. Like all of our pocket bully studs, Savage is bred to produce (2X Venom) and carries all colors.
RECENT BREEDINGS
LOUIS V LINE’S VENOM X MOANA
Both Venom X Moana II & the Louis V Line’s Oro X Champion Ting breedings did not take, unfortunately it happens. We will be repeating Venom X Moana II in about 3.5 months. Venom will be back from an injury that has kept him sidelined for the past 6 months and has prevented him from live collections. We will be completing this breeding live next time out instead of shipping frozen semen. This will definitely increase the likelihood of this breeding taking next time out.
The 1st Venom & Moana breeding produced one of the best litters in years and was responsible for Venomline’s Rampage, Savage, Champion Ting, Keke, Vanna White & Bierra. All in the same litter! So, you can see why the repeat breeding is one that we’re very excited about.

COMPLETED BREEDINGS
The following breedings have been completed but are awaiting ultrasound confirmation to determine if the female “took” and are currently pregnant with pups in the oven.
KING V X XENA
King V completed his 1st breeding back on June 5th, but due to sickness in our family and restrictions due to the coronavirus, we are just now taking Xena in for her confirmation appointment.
Xena is scheduled for tomorrow Thursday July 23rd. We will be sure to update the Website tomorrow evening with the results for customers with picks reserved.
UPCOMING BREEDINGS

VENOMLINE POCKET AMERICAN BULLY BREEDERS
It has been a busy couple of weeks here at Venomline Pocket Bullies. We finally wrapped up film late last week for an upcoming series that will feature several of the pocket bullies of Venomline. As always, regardless of how busy our schedule can get we carried out Stud Service for Customers during breaks and still managed to complete two in-house breedings.
As of now, all current breedings and upcoming breedings are presently sold out, but we’re excited to announce 6 new Upcoming Breedings! We plan on adding these to the website later this week. We’re just waiting on the completed breeding banners before we announce. There will be availability on many of these breedings, but spots go quick so be sure to lock in your spot before they’re all reserved.
The docuseries we finished filming for is set to air July 8th, 2020. You can catch it when it airs HERE.
VENOMLINE NEWS
SAVAGE X JADA PUPPI
Picks were made on Savage & Jada’s litter and also on Venom X Vita. The puppies from Venom X Vita II are around a week and a half older than the pups from Savage & Jada’s litter and most have already arrived at their new homes. We will be booking transport and shipping for Savage’s litter over the next week, and they will be ready for pickup/transport around the week of July 12th.
During all of the madness over the past couple weeks, still reeling from the tragic loss of Rampage and during filming, we still were able to complete two in house breedings. Both Venom X Moana II (the breeding responsible for producing Rampage, Champion Ting, Savage and other stars) and King V X Xena was also completed roughly two weeks ago as well.

THE FEMALES OF VENOMLINE
Venomline females are known for being some of the “bulliest” and most Extreme females on the planet. But what separates us from many other breeders are the females used as part of our breeding program.
It’s simple to use a top Stud, anyone can do that… but at Venomline, we know that it takes both a Top level Stud and a Top Level bitch to produce quality litters on a consistent basis.
VENOMLINE’S SWIZZ
QUALITY FEMALES ARE INTEGRAL TO A BREEDING PROGRAM’S SUCCESS
Females are integral to the success of any breeding program. Without using quality females to pair with Top Studs, litters more than likely just end up being a watered down version of what was initially intended. Knowing this, our primary focus for the past 8 years has been to produce the best possible Pocket Bully Females to match up with our Top Tier Studs.
One thing that we never lost sight of as we added the dense bone, big blocky heads, muscular builds and Extreme features, is producing a complete dog. A lot of the “Extreme” American Bullies today, or at least many of the dogs being marketed as such.. are not what we would consider a complete American Bully.

THE FOUNDATION & NEXT GENERATION FEMALES OF VENOMLINE
It’s fairly easy to add mass and Extreme features… what’s not easy is producing that on a complete bull. One with angulation along with a thick strong rear on a dog that may exhibit extreme traits but is still functional. If a dog can’t run and play, in our opinion.. that’s a failure.
There are not too many kennels that are currently combining the “wow factor” and extreme traits desired in the breed while also producing balanced dogs from head to rear that are fully functional and athletic for the breed and still able to excel in the show ring.
Here you’ll find Foundation Females that are linebred to produce.
The result can be seen in our productions

HOW TO BECOME A SUCCESSFUL AMERICAN BULLY BREEDER
HOW TO BECOME A SUCCESSFUL BREEDER- STARTING OUT, TO PURCHASING BROOD STOCK & INTO THE BASICS OF LINEBREEDING, INBREEDING & OUTCROSSING
Article Originally appeared in Venomline on Medium
How did a relatively new breed go from virtually unknown, to the top of lists for fastest growing dog breeds each of the past five years? Let’s take a look at how it all began.
See: Everything You Need To Know About The Fastest Growing Dog Breed: The American Bully
ORIGIN OF THE AMERICAN BULLY BREED
The American Bully breed was created around 1990 and gained recognition and establishment in 2004 with the inception of the American Bully Kennel Club, also known as the ABKC Registry.
The United Kennel Club or UKC recognized the American Bully breed in 2013. There are other registries, but for the purposes of this article we will mention the main few- which are the ABKC, BBCR. BRC Global and the UKC.
THE AMERICAN BULLY KENNEL CLUB (ABKC)
According to the ABKC- The American Bully breed has been selectively bred to give America’s breed, the American Pit Bull Terrier, a new direction and outlet. Like with the American Staffordshire Terrier (which is also an offshoot of the American Pit Bull Terrier) all of the positive characteristics of the breed’s ancestry were kept. These Include loyalty, stability with humans and children, along with many of their physical attributes.
Traits of dog and human aggression have been bred out, as they have no future purpose for this trait (outside of hunting & sport). A reinvented breed was formed, with the purpose of being the ultimate companion breed, and this breed is the “American Bully.”
THE UNITED KENNEL CLUB (UKC)
According to the UKC- The American Bully breed was subtly influenced by the infusion of several other breeds, which include the American Bulldog, English Bulldog, Pacific Bulldog as well as the Olde English Bulldogge among other Bulldog breeds. What differentiates the American Bully breed from it’s ancestors- the American Staffordshire Terrier and the American Pit Bull Terrier (aside from it’s genetic makeup) is the dog’s physical appearance.
The American Bully Breed is one of heavier bone structure and “bullier” build than it’s American Pit Bull Terrier and Staffordshire Terrier ancestors, but without many of the health issues prevalent in many of the breed’s Bulldog ancestry.

THE AMERICAN BULLY BREED TEMPERAMENT & PERSONALITY
To many people, it’s the perfect blend, a breed without the game drive of a Pit Bull, yet more active and with less health issues than many of the Bulldog breeds in its makeup. The result: a calm, confident breed of dog with a statuesque build and the muscle of a bodybuilder. Despite the American Bully’s fierce and powerful appearance their demeanor is gentle, making the American Bully an excellent family companion.
The breed is known for having an affinity toward children (they love kids) and a surprising ability to pick up on the emotions of their owners. A breed with a fun and quirky personality, a zest for life and an exuberant will to please their family. They are friendly with strangers, other dogs and most other animals. Human or dog aggression, extreme shyness or viciousness is very uncharacteristic of the American Bully and is highly undesirable.
THE BREED’S EXPLOSION IN POPULARITY
The American Bully first became one of the fastest growing new breeds in 2014 and it has remained in the Top 5 every year since. In 2018, the American Bully breed became the fastest growing dog breed in terms of popularity and it hasn’t shown signs of slowing down since. The breed is on track to finish 2019 in similar fashion. So why are so many falling in love with this breed?
CONFUSION ABOUT THE BREED
Even with the American Bully breed’s explosive growth and expansion into new countries and territories, there is still much confusion about the breed accompanied by several misconceptions and stereotypes. Inaccurate information online made worse by ill informed media have furthered misunderstanding regarding the breed. There are some who still confuse the American Bully with it’s cousin the American Pit Bull Terrier. But both are distinct and separate breeds, recognized by several respected registries as such.
BECOMING AN AMERICAN BULLY BREEDER
So.. the American Bully breed has caught your eye, but there’s so many different types, bloodlines and classes to choose from that it can be a little overwhelming at first attempting to decide where to even begin. That’s ok, we’re here to help. For those new to the breed one of the first decisions to make is deciding on a class.
DECIDE ON A CLASS
This is one of the first and often overlooked steps when deciding to purchase an American Bully puppy or adult. Ask yourself, what size of bully best suits your interest? Do you want something smaller or shorter? In this case, you’ll probably want a Pocket. Like your dogs bigger? Then you probably want a Standard. If that’s not big enough for you and you’re wanting something over 100lbs and massive, then the XL class is probably for you.
4 DIFFERENT AMERICAN BULLY CLASSES
There are four different classes in the American Bully. The difference between them is height (with the exception of Classic, which is simply the same height as the Standard Bully,, but carrying less mass) Once you’ve decided which size you prefer, next ask yourself what is your goal? Are you simply interested in a pet, or are you considering having a litter or showing in conformation events (dog shows)?
The answer to these questions will help you with where to begin your search and can also have a big effect on the price you will be paying. If you’re simply looking for a pet, you can find one for a much lower price than if you’re looking for a show dog or breeding stock. If you do plan to show or breed in the future, it often makes sense to pay for a higher quality dog than what you would be getting a pet prices.
For those who may be new to the breed and still learning, let’s take a look at the different Classes in the American Bully breed according to the founding registry- The American Bully Kennel Club, also known as the ABKC Registry as well as the United Kennel Club, referred to as the UKC.
AMERICAN BULLY CLASSES
BREED STANDARD (ORIGINAL)
It is important to note the ABKC got rid of the extreme class, initially a handicap So there are currently 4 Classes. The “Extreme” which was the same as the standard overall, but carrying more mass. This variety was initially allowed some of what they refer to, as “handicaps” meaning there was some leniency to certain traits beyond the standard.
This was because there was a huge amount of these dogs in the breed’s gene pool base and from a large bloodline within the breed; which was one of the founding bloodlines to be exact. The reason for the leniency is these were bigger heavier dogs that needed more time of development to achieve ideal conformation. The “handicaps” were designed to be eliminated over time until this variety met the same standards as the Standard.
Standard and Pocket are now not to be penalized for dogs carrying more mass as long as they are correct and balanced.
ABKC AMERICAN CLASSES 2014-PRESENT
This is an amendment to the basic standard which a Pocket Bully is determined by its adult height.
Males under 17″ and no less than 14″ at the withers. Females under 16″ and no less than 13″ at the withers.
STANDARD
The American Bully should give the impression of great strength for it’s size. It is a compact and medium/large size dog with a muscular body and blocky head. The American Bully should have the appearance of heavy bone structure with a bulky build and look.
Males 17 inches — 20 inches (43 cm — 51 cm) at the withers. Females 16 inches — 19 inches (40 cm — 48 cm) at the withers.
CLASSIC
This is an amendment to the basic standard. A Classic Bully is determined by it’s body structure and build. Both sex dogs with lighter body frames and less overall body mass, but still exibiting “bully” traits.
Classic Bully variety is simply an American Bully dog having lighter body frames (lighter bone) and less overall body mass (less substance) than the Standard American Bully. Aside from this difference, the Classic Bully variety follows the same standard as the Standard American Bully.
XL
This is an amendment to the basic standard, determined by it’s adult height. It is important to note that the XL Bully variety is simply taller than the Standard American Bully. XL dogs share the same build, body type and breed type as the Standard American Bully.
Males over 20″-23″ at the withers. Females over 19″-22″ at the withers.
Now that you have a basic understanding of the different classes of the American Bully breed and that that a dog’s height (and sometimes build) determine what class they fit in, let’s move on to discuss important things to consider before having a litter for those considering having puppies.
Below we cover important things to consider before making the decision to have a litter or to become a breeder.
BEFORE DECIDING TO BECOME AN AMERICAN BULLY BREEDER
Before making the commitment to become a breeder and establish your own bloodline, an honest appraisal of your resources is in order.
First, do you have the money and time to invest in this endeavor? A large kennel facility is usually not necessary if you get two or three quality “foundation” bitches to begin with. Do you have cash on hand for progesterone testing, artificial inseminations, emergency c-sections, vet bills, and proper care for the puppies?
BE PREPARED
Are you prepared if one of your breeding females becomes ill or develops an infection like pyometra? Do you have 3K–5K saved in the event of an emergency? One of the he worst possible things that you can do is to make the decision to become a breeder and then being unable to care for your dogs in the event of an emergency.
More important than space and money is the commitment to the pups that you will be producing. For breeders to know if their breeding program is successful, ongoing evaluation of the pups is essential. Most of us do not have unlimited space, so placing pups in good homes where they will receive adequate care and nutrition, training and evaluation is going to be essential.
DO YOUR HOMEWORK
Once you’ve done your homework, have your resources in order, decided on a class and have made the decision you’re willing to commit to everything required to responsibly breed dogs, you’re going to want to start by purchasing foundation stock.
PURCHASING “FOUNDATION” DOGS
“First you will need to the right kennel to purchase from. Personally I started out with two males and a female, but that was not the best move. I wish someone had advised us to start with females!
Unfortunately I had to learn through trial and error, but to anyone reading this, you can save 3–4 years of time by listening to me on this one. If your goal is to become a breeder, you’re going to want to start with quality females. You’ll want to get your foundation females from a kennel that has been around for a while.”
– Venomline’s Matt Siebenthal
UNDERSTANDING PEDIGREES
Be sure to get detailed pedigree information on the dogs to ensure you are getting a quality linebred dog (meaning that the same ancestors appear more than once in the 4 generation pedigree) Linebred dogs usually produce more consistent litters. Kennels that have been around for a while, that have quality productions to show and an idea about what they’re doing will usually linebreed.
DHB/Venomline’s Apache at 10 months
PRODUCTIONS MATTER
There’s plenty of overnight breeders hyping up their litters as the best thing since sliced bread, but most don’t have the productions to back up the hype. Has the breeder produced any Champions or Grand Champions? What Studs have they produced? Have the females that they’ve produced turn out to become quality breeding stock for other kennels? How do some of the later picks on their litters turn out?
This will say a lot about the consistency of a breeding program.
Once you have purchased foundation females to build your program with, the next step is to decide on a Stud.
DECIDING TO USE A STUD
Most breeders offer a stud service. If you are new to breeding dogs, you should take advantage of this.
STUD SERVICE
Many that get started in the dog breeding business usually purchase a stud dog or two along with some female dogs. As Venomline discussed above, the better way of going about this is to start off by purchasing female dogs.
When they are ready to be bred you can contact kennels that offer stud service or contact the kennel you purchased the female from for use of their Studs. Housing, feeding, and taking care of stud dogs is expensive and you’re not always guaranteed to have a great stud dog once they mature.
Louis V Line’s Venom
BENEFITS OF USING A STUD FROM A BREEDER RATHER THAN PURCHASING ONE YOURSELF:
1. Using a well known stud can help with litter sales
2. You can line breed your dog using the kennel that you purchased your female from. (Line breeding will produce more consistent litters)
3. You could end up waiting a year or two only to find out that the male that you purchased didn’t turn out to be a worthy stud dog. (Avoid this all together by using studs from a top breeder)
Many breeders will decide to breed their foundation female to a mediocre male (because that’s what they purchased) The outcome: usually a watered-down version of what was originally intended.
Doing this can set a breeder back several years, whereas “grading up” (the breeding of females on hand to a male of higher quality) can be a shortcut to success.
A STUD VS A “PROVEN” PRODUCER… THERE IS A DIFFERENCE
Louis V Line’s Omega
Any male dog that produces semen has the ability to become a Stud. But, a Stud that is a “Proven Producer” is one that can out produce themselves on a consistent basis. They are the few with the ability to stamp their look with every litter. Top producing dogs are most often inbred or linebred from an outstanding bloodline.
INBREEDING & LINEBREEDING
Inbreeding and line breeding produces a prepotent dog whose genetic material is homozygous. Homozygous is a term that indicates that the gene pairs are the same. Since only one gene is inherited from each parent, if the parents are related, as in inbreeding and line breeding, the chance of doubling up the gene pair is greater than in the case of breeding unrelated dogs, or outcross breeding.
The term prepotent means a dog that can produce offspring with his same characteristics. The reason is that a dog that is homozygous for a certain trait will pass this trait 100% of the time to their offspring.
A breeding dog needs to be selected based on the dogs bloodline, the method of breeding that produced the dog (inbreeding or line breeding) as well as the individual attributes that the dog will bring to the breeding program.A dog produced from an outcrossed breeding that is heterozygous (the gene pairs being different) for a certain trait, even though they themselves have the trait will pass the trait on to their offspring only 50% of the time.
Understanding these simple principles will help anyone who’s serious about becoming a Top Breeder pass up the competition, sometimes in just a few generations.
SHOW DOGS VS STUD DOGS
One of the biggest mistakes that breeders, novice or veteran, can make is to confuse their show dogs with their breeding dogs. They can be the same. We hope they will be the same. Often they are not. There are those who say show wins are the indicator of a dog’s value to the breed. In other words, if many judges agree a particular dog is the current ideal in its breed, the dog should be bred to. I agree — but only to a degree.
“A dog can be a truly great show dog and a poor sire. A dog can hate the show ring and never win a point and be an outstanding sire. It is just as simple as that.”
You can get every judge in the country to agree that the dog of the hour is the dog of the hour, but that same dog can be a complete disappointment in the breeding department.
If a dog’s quality is not realized in the whelping box, all we have is a box full of ribbons and nothing more.
CONFUSING SHOW DOGS WITH PRODUCING STUDS
Venom son Enoch
This is not to say a winning dog cannot also be an outstanding producer. Records prove otherwise. But I cannot stress strongly enough that it is the producing ability that must be looked to and not the show record! Even the outstanding show sire can be misused. Most breeds have had those truly wonderful show dogs who develop records that become the envy of one and all. Unfortunately, they become the envy of too many who feel if a dog is good enough to win every award in sight, it must be good enough to breed every female in sight.
In a way, the popular show dog that produces well only with certain female lines can be very destructive to a breed. A few excellent youngsters emerge from the right combination and the parade begins. Every female that can see lightning and hear thunder is bred to the dog, but the percentage of quality produced is minuscule. The breed takes a big step backward.
TRULY GREAT SIRES ARE FEW AND FAR BETWEEN
Truly great sires are really few and far between. There’s an old saying I heard somewhere along the way that goes something like, “You can breed that one to a fence post and you’ll still get good pups.”
They are the rare ones, the ones that any breed is lucky to have, but it is highly doubtful that any breed will have such a dog any more than once in any breeder’s lifetime.

BECOMING AN AMERICAN BULLY BREEDER
Now that you have a basic understanding of the importance of starting out with quality foundation females as brood stock, as well as the importance of selecting a Stud that’s proven as a Producer, the next step is to establish a breeding plan. Doing this alone will set you apart from the competition. Trust us when we tell you, they’re not doing this.
Breeding a litter of pups is not the same as becoming a breeder and developing a bloodline.
We have within our breed bloodlines that are known for producing great dogs as well as bloodlines that are known for producing mediocre dogs with certain problems, i.e. conformation faults, health issues, temperament faults etc.
The newcomer that is interested in developing a’ bloodline’ must understand that it is more that having your name carried as a part of the registered name of the dog. It is the development of a family of dogs that breed true for breed characteristics that you deem as essential and desirable, and that have been selectively bred into your family of dogs.
STEPS TO BECOMING A BREEDER
A) Number one is to identify those breed characteristics that you want to see reproduced in the dogs that you will produce. Identifying your individual list of characteristics that you want to develop in your bloodline requires that you are familiar with the breed character and are knowledgeable about the breed standards that have been established. You will also need knowledge about structural soundness and genetic health issues within the breed.
B) To develop an eye for a dog, to be able to evaluate one dog from another in terms of those traits that you are breeding for.
II. SELECTION OF BROOD STOCK
Once a breeder has developed a breeding plan, an evaluation of the brood stock that you are going to be using is the next step. First and foremost, the individual stud dog or brood bitch must possess the outstanding traits that the breeder is looking for in the offspring. The mating of animals with similar characteristics tends to produce offspring that resemble themselves. This is known as like-to-like, type-to-type or positive assortive mating.
It is obvious that breeders should avoid mating animals with the same faults, as this type of mating will also tend to produce offspring with those faults set within the family of dogs.
III. PEDIGREE ANALYSIS
An analysis of the dog’s pedigree is the third but equally important step that must be considered in the selection of brood stock. For novices, a dog’s pedigree is usually meaningless. For the experienced fancier, the pedigree is a profile of genetic potential, containing an unlimited amount of information. Knowledge about the individual dogs in the pedigree can be obtained firsthand from the dog’s breeder.
Pictures and information on the dogs can frequently be obtained from the numerous breed magazines and breeders websites. Conformation titles on the individual dogs can also be used in compiling your database of information on the dog’s pedigree. After a number of years into a person’s breeding program, the breeder will have first hand knowledge of the dogs making up the pedigree of the breeding stock.
Also a database of information concerning the littermates as well as offspring from repeat breedings should be available to the breeder. This first hand information will always be the most reliable if the breeder remains objective. You can find the offspring a dog has produced in online pedigree databases such as Bullypedia and BullyPedex.
“You will want to become familiar with these. You’re going to want to add your own productions once you start having them. But perhaps more importantly, you can research which breeding pairs and bloodlines produced top dogs. There is almost unlimited information at people’s fingertips, but most are too damn lazy to use it.”
SHOWS & EVENTS
Attendance at shows and conformation events, having discussions with successful breeders and talking to judges and exhibitors about the breed can also enhance one’s understanding. A study of the literature available about the breed and about dogs, genetics and breeding in general is also essential. The breeding of fine dogs is an art, with a strong scientific basis.
What a breeder seeks to produce, the ideal that he formulates, is his or her self expression — the fulfillment of the creative urge. That lies the joy of breeding dogs. The emphasis a breeder places upon soundness, a great head, correct fronts or backend declares his own nature.
The breeder who would achieve a consistent color or size at the cost of breed type or honest structure is a different kind of person from one who prefers a correctly made dog.
Read that again out loud.
All quality bloodlines have been established by incorporating quality brood stock from someone else’s bloodline. It is not often that you will be able to incorporate a pet quality bitch or dog into your breeding program and expect to produce consistent quality pups.
THE FATHER OF MODERN GENETICS AND THE MAN WHO APPLIED IT TO ANIMAL BREEDING
Although Gregor Mendel is the father of modern genetics, Jay Lush is the fellow who brought genetics to animal breeding. Lush was a student of Sewall Wright, who devised the coefficient of inbreeding, and a background in both genetics and mathematics allowed him to develop animal breeding into a quantitative science.
Perhaps his most important contribution is a book first published in 1937 called Animal Breeding Plans, in which he laid the foundations on which the scientific breeding of both animals and plants still rest today. While parts are necessarily outdated now, much of what he wrote is as useful today as it was then.
INBREEDING VS LINEBREEDING
Most breeders know about inbreeding and linebreeding but find it difficult to clearly distinguish between them. Usually inbreeding is considered to be breeding among first-order relatives (e.g., sibling to sibling, parent to offspring), and linebreeding is a fuzzy version of “not as close as inbreeding”. When Lush discusses linebreeding in his book, though, he clearly distinguishes between linebreeding and what he calls “other forms of inbreeding”, which he simply defines as breeding between relatives.
For every generation that passes between the ancestor and the present, its influence is reduced by half. To avoid this progressive dilution, “linebreeding takes advantage of the laws of probability as they affect Mendelian inheritance to hold the expected amount of inheritance from an admired ancestor at a nearly constant level. “Linebreeding provides, so to speak, a ratchet mechanism for holding any gains already made by selection, while attempting to make further gains.”
CARRYING THE TORCH
Any time that a significant advancement in any field is made (especially science) it is often left at the feet of the next generation. Equally important are the ones who pick up the torch and expand upon the point where the previous generation’s research left off.
By the early 1950’s, Lloyd C. Brackett had become a legend in his own time. In part because of the quality of the dogs he produced and in part because of his candor when addressing problems related to the breeding of canines. He had much to say about the selection of sires, how to correct problems and how to make improvements. Brackett was considered one of the fathers of the German Shepherd breed in the United States.
90 CHAMPIONS OVER 12 YEARS
At the time of his death he was the oldest living continuous fancier of the breed (since 1912). His kennel was called Long Worth and he is remembered throughout the dog world for his theories about breeding methods. Brackett was well read and a quick learner. Through his writings he shed light on the confusion and misunderstandings associated with line and inbreeding. One of his greatest achievements was to have produced over 90 champions in twelve years.
All of his methods and ideas were not new. For example, he combined the study of pedigrees with the results they produced. After years of watching what combinations produced the better offspring he refined his ideas about how to select breeding partners.
BRACKETT’S FORMULA
Out of these experiences came a formula that later he would make him famous. The formula was not new but his ideas about how to use it attracted attention. Breeders of domestic animals had used it for years. It relied on the principles of line and inbreeding. But it was Brackett and his approach to planned breedings that made it well known.
Venomline’s Rampage
Brackett believed in pedigree analysis, litter evaluation, the use of line and inbreeding and a record system that was easy to use. Those ideas are what set him apart from others who did little more than practice the art of breeding. While Brackett is best known for his emphasis on the use of linebreeding he was not afraid to inbreed if the situation dictated it.
He believed that it made no sense to go forward with breeding before the needed information about the sire and dam had been collected. He placed great emphasis on health, temperament and breed characteristics. His planned breedings were based on the results that occurred in his pups. In other words, he learned from his mistakes.
Brackett understood the value of using quality dogs that were related to each other. This approach allowed him to concentrate the genes needed to produce desired traits. His techniques for reducing error and improving quality focused on the careful selection of breeding partners. They were central to maintaining and improving specific traits while at the same time reducing disease and other unwanted problems.
CONSISTENCY & TYPE
Brackett became famous for breeding quality dogs with consistent type. His strategy relied on a series of breedings using relatives. Often times he was quoted as saying, “never outcross when things seem to be going well, do it only as an experiment or when some fault or faults cannot be eliminated”.
He was careful to study each stud dog and their offspring, eliminating those who did not measure up and those who produced faults. Close inspection of his pedigrees show that many of his sires were themselves inbred or line bred and most were usually related in some way to the bitches in his breeding program.
LINEBREEDING
Brackett’s success helped to make line breeding popular. He demonstrated how to make improvements by retaining a common pool of genes through the use of related dogs. He believed that out-crossing was the least desirable method because it introduced new genes into his pedigrees, which in turn produced differences and genetic variations among the offspring.
It has been well documented that two full-brothers usually do not have the same genetic potential even though they both come from the same two parents. One sibling might inherit one set of genes from his father and the other might get a different set from an uncle through his mother. While each pup always receives half of its genes from the sire and half from the dam it does not mean that they each will get the same set of genes.
This explains why littermates do not always look alike or have the same capacity to produce quality. Brackett kept detailed records on the differences between siblings. He was well read on this subject and occasionally mentioned the works of Aristotle and Mendel in his articles. In practice they all shared similar beliefs.
Brackett was concerned about the future of breeding better dogs and the lack of breeder education programs. He believed that “the majority of dog breeders formulate no breeding plan and seldom if ever, when mating, consider how they will mate any of the resultant produced offspring.”
BRACKETT’S FORMULA
The formula Brackett preferred concentrated genes in a pedigree. He did this by placing emphasis on the sire of the sire.
In Figure 1, notice that the same dog appears on the sire and the dam’s side of the pedigree. Brackett liked to use one important dog and have it appear twice in a three-generation pedigree.
The basic formula he preferred can be stated as follows, “Let the sire of the sire become the grand sire on the dam’s side”. Said another way, “let the father’s father become the mothers grandfather.”
BRACKETT’S FORMULA APPLIED: A REAL LIFE EXAMPLE
According to Brackett’s formula, which we are using in this particular example, males from this breeding would have ideal pedigrees with potential as Studs in Brackett’s program. Obviously we don’t breed solely according to Brackett’s formula, but it is one of the advanced breeding techniques that has proven successful for many breeders in a number of different breeds over the years. There are many other advanced breeding techniques and methods that we will cover in future articles.
SEPARATE YOURSELF FROM THE COMPETITION
If you ever wonder how some kennels seem to always produce top quality dogs and consistent litters, while others can take a great dog from a great line and run it to shit in just a few short years? The answer is usually pretty simple. 99% of breeders (especially in the American Bully breed) don’t do any research, have no understanding of basic genetics, couldn’t name a single breeding technique and have no breeding plan.
Their gameplan: breed two dogs that “look good” together.
Most have not put in the work to hone their craft. Yet they will be surprised and upset when they don’t end up with your results.
You can pass up the competition in just a few short years by dedicating the time and energy to study up on those who have had success and by applying those techniques to your breeding plan.
You don’t have to be a rocket scientist either. I’m not. Far from it. But you have a small supercomputer with unlimited information in your pocket. Quit being lazy and Google some shit. Respectfully, of course.
TYPES OF BREEDINGS
We have covered the basics of linebreeding, inbreeding, outcrossing, backbreeding and grading up in previous articles. In our next article, we will weigh the benefits and risks of each as well as going into further detail on each as well and also when an outcross should definitely be considered.

CORONAVIRUS QUARANTINE: 5 FUN THINGS TO DO WITH YOUR AMERICAN BULLY OR BULLY BREED DOG
Article Originally Appeared in Venomline's blog
After making the decision to walk away from the world of finance in order to pursue my passion with these dogs as a pocket bully breeder, and as the owner of Venomline & the founder of BULLY KING Magazine– as you might imagine, I do — spend the majority of the day surrounded by dogs. Observing them, training and working with them, taking them to vet appointments and hanging out beside them while working. And now, in this extraordinary time, many more of us find ourselves working at home with our dogs full time. Good for us — and great for our dogs.
CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) AND QUARENTINE
Quarantine, and even social distancing, is meant to impose an isolation that most of us, as a highly social species, work hard throughout our lives to avoid. Even the most introverted of us need company — some touchstone of a shared existence through time. In reflecting on our changed society, the isolation of the elderly and the sick seems especially cruel. In many places, older residents quarantined in nursing homes cannot have visitors, and are suffering not just from potentially fatal infections but also from the loss of the company of their family members and the comfort of their presence and touch — a biological urge.
Our drive to keep animals, dogs in particular, strikes me as similar in nature: Their simple presence, and their willingness to be touched, is viscerally satisfying. Time spent reading on the couch is massively improved by a dog’s head resting on my leg; a warm, snuffling muzzle directed at me is instantly calming.
Now, the coronavirus quarantine, by imposing similar hardship on us, is actually giving dogs something that they’ve deserved all along: more of our companionship. When we emerge from this crisis and normalcy is resuscitated, we will have a chance to reappraise how we want to conduct our lives.
AN OPPORTUNITY TO BOND WITH YOUR DOG
I hope we will maintain some of our current abnormal condition: giving our dogs the companionship they need. I hope we will come out of this with a fuller appreciation of the privilege that it is to keep the company of animals. With this down time, many of us can become bored, but that shouldn’t be the case.
Your dog has been waiting patiently for this additional time with you, so reward them by spending some extra time with them and giving them some extra attention. This should go without saying, but obviously use common sense. You don’t want to endanger people or run the risk of contracting the virus yourself. Don’t bring them out to dog parks or public parks or places where there are a lot of people. If your city/state has laws in place that prevent you from going outside, don’t break the law. But in most places, your yard or a nearby field will work just fine.
Below are 5 fun things to do with your best bud.
5 FUN ACTIVITIES TO TRY WITH YOUR DOG DURING QUARANTINE
1. TRY A FLIRT POLE
This is just a pole, a string, and dog toy at the end, but it will make massive gains in your dog’s posterior.
What does the Flirt Pole do?
It brings out their natural prey drive. By jumping at the toy, it gives them a full body workout (especially rear legs and cardio). This is a staple of many champion breeders and many pet owners love these as well. Your dog will love it, it’s great exercise, it builds muscle and it’s a fun way for both you and your furry friend to spend time together.
You can make your own, or buy them on Amazon for fairly cheap. Work your way up from beginner to Master’s level- where you can work your dog out without doing mush of anything other than moving your arm in a circular motion. It’s actually pretty fun!
Get them to run, leap, and jump after the toy while swinging it in the air. Make it a goal to get your dog jumping higher or changing speed. Dog’s love the challenge because it’s fun and the jumping is what builds up the muscles of the hind legs.
You can pick up a flirt pole on Amazon for 28.99 so it won’t break the bank. If you really want to let your hair down and drop a few extra bucks.. add in the squirrel/fox attachment. They love that shit.
2. FETCH
There are four types of dogs in this world: dogs that don’t care about fetch, dogs that fetch but don’t retrieve, dogs that will fetch and retrieve but definitely aren’t happy about it.. and Labradors.
Unless you have a Labrador or live in perfect 1950s Pleasantville, (in which case you probably have a Labrador, or a poodle ) you’ve most likely had to face the crushing reality that a lot of dogs just don’t have the fetch instinct. Many American Bullies however, at least our dogs.. love playing fetch. If this is something that your dog enjoys, than all the better.
This is an exercise with a multitude of benefits. It can stave off health problems like obesity, provide an energy outlet to curb destructive behaviors, and it’s also a great way wear them out. This will help your dog get the sleep that they need, helps keep them mentally stimulated and is a great way to strengthen your bond together.
3. AIRSTRIKE
Bombs away! This is a fun activity named by 8 year old Christian. He may have gotten the name from playing Fortnight or Grand Theft Auto. Not really sure how he came up with it… but it stuck. Airstrike is basically launching an all out assault on your dogs with multiple missiles (tennis balls) at once.
Choose your weapon of choice: tennis ball launcher, nerf gun, automated ball launcher it doesn’t really matter as long as it can fire. This activity is two-fold. You can keep your kid(s) and your dog(s) occupied and wear them out at the same time. Plus they both love it and it’s fairly entertaining to watch.
4. TAKE PHOTOS
With not a whole lot going on in most places- as children are homeschooled and many work from home to prevent the spread of Coronavirus, many of us are left with more time on our hands. Idle time is the devil’s playground- meaning, you can use this time off for productive things, or it’s very easy to fall into destructive behavior (drinking, drugs, getting into trouble etc.) Use this time wisely. Spend time with your humans, and then with your animals.
LEARN A NEW HOBBY OR SKILL
Now would be a great time to learn something new, start a new hobby, read a book, or set some goals for the year. Doesn’t matter what it is, but use this time off to your advantage. One thing to do with your dog is take photos of the dogs while they’re out having fun. If you’re a breeder, you need to learn to do this. It’s not difficult, and anyone can learn. You can get a good camera for $299-$399 on Amazon.
FOR BEGINNERS
My 1st camera was a Nikon D3300 and that thing lasted 6 years. It was one of the best investments I ever made. Photography is a cool hobby to learn and it’s also a skill that you can learn to make extra money on the side. If you’re a breeder and you expect to sell puppies at a premium price, you need to learn how to take quality photos.
Think about it, if Apple was dropping a brand new iPhone and they advertised the release with shitty cell phone pics of a beat up iPhone, would you pay $599? No one would buy it. If you’re in the business of breeding dogs, have some pride in your productions and take quality photos to show them off in the best possible light.
USING THIS DOWNTIME TO YOUR ADVANTAGE
You can use this downtime to learn a new skill like photography. It’s a fun hobby to learn and it’s also a great way to spend time outdoors with your dog. I didn’t know anything about photography, when I started,I just watched Youtube Videos to learn.
This is the same exact way I learned to build our website. We couldn’t afford to hire someone to do it for us when we were starting out. You’d be surprised, just about anything that you could possibly think you’d like to learn.. there’s a Youtube Video to show you how.
5. CAR RIDES
Get out and get some fresh air. Taking a drive can be a great way to get out of the house and press the reset button if you’re starting to get stir crazy. Take your furry friend for a ride with you. They love it!
There’s just so many smells.. this is almost sensory overload for them and they love every minute of it.

TAKING THE STRESS OUT OF STUD SERVICE
Venomline is home to the best extreme build Pocket American Bully Studs and we provide Stud Service Worldwide. In the U.S. we have the Stud Collected and shipped Priority overnight so that it arrives on the day you need it. If you need help timing the breeding, or are new, we walk all of our Customers through the entire process: progesterone testing, types of AI’s, and the best ways to properly time a breeding.
We make the process easy and stress free.
REMEMBERING WHERE WE STARTED
At Venomline we remember what it was like when we first started. Paying for a well known Stud was a huge risk. We didn’t have a few grand to pay for a Stud and just “hope” that it worked out. But we still tried, and our female didn’t take.. This set our program and vision back over a year.
We paid a Stud Fee and our female didn’t take. Unfortunately it happens. But when we called about the repeat since she didn’t get pregnant, I was told that they do not offer repeats and that were basically “we shit out of luck.”
So we do things differently. If your female does not get pregnant we don’t just keep your money. This is just one of the many reasons so many of the top kennels choose Venomline when reserving a Stud for their program.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
NOT YOUR AVERAGE “DOG BREEDER”
There’s not too much better than receiving a call from one of our Customers telling us “she took!” And that puppies are expected in about a month. It’s very exciting for Customers and it still is for us too. Occasionally breedings don’t take, it does happen. So what happens if you’ve paid for Stud Service only to find out 30 days later that she’s not pregnant?
What If My Female Doesn’t Take?
We will re-ship during your females next heat or you can use the Stud Credit towards a pup for sale or future breeding. If you choose to try again during next heat, you will not pay another Stud fee like many breeders would have you do. You just pay Fed Ex shipping and we will send again. We want you to succeed!
Will I Have Trouble Selling Pups I Don’t Plan on Keeping?
On top of covering unsuccessful attempts, we actually go many steps further. Since we know it can be difficult to sell a litter and get the prices you’re expecting.. and because we only breed to accepted Females- we will post your breeding on our social media outlets to help with sales.
Helping with Sales
We’re proud to Advertise our Studs going to a quality bitch. This will help you with sales, getting top dollar for your pups while growing your kennel’s following. Not to mention when using Venom, Omega, Rampage, Savage or King V (dogs that have huge followings)
This is just one of the many ways we go the extra mile for our customers. We have referrals available upon request and an entire group on Facebook where customers post and show off their Venom offspring.
Will I get a receipt with my Purchase?
Yes. You will receive a receipt for your records along with the Stud Contract stating everything we agree to carry out. This is for your protection as well as ours.

It’s easy to add mass and Extreme features… what’s not easy is producing that on a complete bull. One with angulation along with a thick strong rear on a dog that may exhibit extreme traits but is still functional. If a dog can’t run and play, in our opinion.. that’s a failure. We aim to produce dogs that will not only stack with any dog that’s brave enough to stand next to them, but can also excel inside of the show ring.
There are not too many kennels that are currently combining the “wow factor” and extreme traits desired in the breed while also producing balanced dogs from head to rear that can still succeed in the show ring.
Here you’ll find Foundation Females that are linebred to produce.
The result can be seen in our productions.

Louis V Line’s Venom “Chunk” has blessed us more than we could possibly ever repay and has done the same for kennels across the globe as one of the best to ever do it “Chunk” will continue to be used, but solely in our program and in those which booked him ahead of time.
For everyone who put their trust in our program- we appreciate every single one of you. Most importantly, thank you George for producing Chunk and the great work with Louis V Line and also for trusting our family with him.
On a serious note, he did more than enough to cement his Legacy in the bully world. It’s now time for Chunky to enjoy retirement, play with his ball and chill on the couch. He’ll sit back and relax as he proudly watches his sons Rampage, Savage & King V each begin legacies of their own.

There are Studs and then there’s STUDS.
There are “Proven Producers” that create a few nice dogs and then there’s the select few that have the “gift.”
Dogs that create dynasties.
Louis V Line’s Venom, a Stud that consistently out produced himself, dropped bombs with every bloodline imaginable, produced pocket monsters with classics, and Sired multiple ABKC Champions with yet another 50+ young offspring pointed toward Titles.
The crazy part is the majority of his offspring won’t even hit adulthood until he retires.

VENOMLINE’S RAMPAGE
Many people have asked us “why retire Venom in his prime?” Well, why not when we have sons of his like Rampage, Savage (new photos coming next week) and King V? Chunk did his thing for years, now it’s time for him to relax and enjoy just being a dog. He’s had his time in the spotlight and now it’s his kids time to shine.
There’s nothing worse than when breeders continue to use 7+ year old studs that are well beyond their prime. Chunk is happy, healthy and has blessed our family (along with many other families and breeding programs across the globe) and we want to keep him that way. Plus, we have a few of his best sons that are just entering adulthood that are just too badass to be kept hidden in the shadows.
Check out some of the Next Gen Studs below.
We’ll start with 18 month old 2X Venom son Rampage.
RAMPAGE “GEORGE” THE CHAMPAGNE GORILLA

LOUIS V LINE’S OMEGA
2019 BULLY KING Magazine Official Mascot Louis V Line’s OMEGA
Undeniably one of Louis V’s best and top producing sons- Louis V Line’s Omega will be returning to BULLY KING Magazine as an Official Mascot for the 2019-2020 Calendar year. Omega first became Mascot for the #1 Bully Breed Magazine back in 2017.
OMEGA THE “LITTLE POLAR BEAR”
Omega is one of the most aesthetically pleasing dogs I’d ever seen. He just stands out, from his all white coat, to his incredible build, big blocky head and short muzzle, to his muscle mass and structure. Venom’s 1/2 brother is just one beautiful dog. He’s also short and compact, along with a short back which I love.
This is a Pocket Bully with substance, possessing all of the big dog features, and Extreme traits desired in the breed, on a 14.5″ frame without being overdone.
Omega is also a phenomenal producer, probably one of the most underrated Stud dogs in the country.
Omega is responsible for producing several ABKC Pocket Champions like his brother Venom and he’ll l be going to some of our best females over the next year. When the people start to witness what this boy is capable of.. with our caliber of females.. this will be one of the most in demand studs in the country, just like his brother Venom.
Omega (like all of our Studs) is a triple carrier, meaning he can produce all colors including every tri color variation. He carries both lilac & chocolate and throws a lot of tri colored bullies for those looking to add color.
So don’t let that white coat fool you.. this is a Stud that throws a lot of color in addition to producing extreme build Pocket Bullies with substance, structure & drive. Not to mention signature headpieces and short, thick boned up puppies with some of the thickest rears of any living Stud.
Omega is one of the best at producing Extreme, pocket height dogs that can still excel in the Show Ring and win any stack off.
VENOMLINE’S SAVAGE
Another Venom son from the first 2X Venom breeding (Venom X Moana).
We will be shooting updated photos and video of this Lilac Tri beast in the next week or so. Believe it or not, Savage, who answers to the call name “Tito” was only 14-15 months old in these photos.
Prepare for jaws to drop when we release photos of him now at 18 months. Check Savage out below at just 11 months old with his dad Venom.
Savage is another young, up & coming Pocket Bully Stud with a very bright future ahead of him.
Stay tuned for next week’s photoshoot where we show him off at 18 months!
VENOMLINE’S KING V
Up next at just under 9 months old is Venomline’s King V.
This dude is a trip! He might be the happiest bully in the house next to his dad Chunk. But King V is a sweetheart, he greets his mom every single morning with a big hug and looks over at his brothers and sisters as if to rub it in their faces.
When he’s not shitting on the floor, you can see blips of him flying through the house, dive bombing his dad from the couch, sliding across the tile floor and crashing into walls, couches, sliding glass windows and TVs. This dude has one speed and hasn’t figured out yet how to brake.
I just see a smiling face sliding by from pretty much any room I’m in.
NEW ADDITION TO THE CAMP
Our newest addition to the camp is a beautiful black tri colored female from Grand Champion Rocko X Swizz. It was extremely difficult to make our selection on this litter, all of the females looked incredible and having a tough time making a pick on a litter is always a good problem to have.
Swizz produced some amazing bulls with Venom in her 1st litter and impressed us again in her match up with GrCh Rockomania.
We haven’t yet decided on a name just yet, but should soon have one. Anyways, here is our keeper female from the litter.
TEDDY HEADED TO SMALL TOWN DYNASTY KENNELS
Venom son “Teddy” the Venom son that looked just like he was hand crafted at Build-A-Bear is headed to his new forever home with a loving family over at Small Town Dynasty Kennels.

In this article, we’ll bring everyone up to speed and also show off some of the puppies off of our recent litters. We will also be announcing a few of our upcoming planned breeding pairs.
AMERICAN BULLY LEGEND- LOUIS V LINE’S VENOM CLOSES AT STUD
Let’s start off with some of the biggest news of the past week… Louis V Line’s Venom is now Closed to the Public.
This boy has blessed us with more than we could possibly ever repay and he has done the same for some of the top kennels and breeding programs across the globe. He has done more than enough to solidify himself as a Legend in the bully game as one of the best to ever do it.
We will continue to Venom, but solely in our program and for our Customers that booked him ahead of time. For everyone that put their trust in our program, we appreciate every single one of you.
For our Customers who locked him in/reserved before Closing, your Stud Credits are obviously still good, but we will not be accepting any new reservations. Venom is now Officially off limits, he is Closed to the Public.
If you have an upcoming litter of his, or any of his offspring.. your stock is about to go way up.
It’s time for our best bud to chill on the couch, sit back, relax and watch proudly as his sons Rampage, Savage & King V- begin their own Legacies.

GRAND CHAMPION ROCKOMANA X SWIZZ
In other news, one of the most anticipated breedings of 2019- Grand Champion Rockomania X Venomline’s Swizz’s litter was born and the puppies arrived just before Christmas. This was a litter that was sold out over a year in advance of the actual breeding taking place and it’s easy to see why…
Grand Champion Rockomania is an International Winning Grand Champion and Swizz is one of the bulliest Pocket Bullies on the planet.
Most don’t believe Swizz’s stats until they see her in person for the first time. She’s bigger, wider and has a bigger head than 99% of the top studs out. Swizz weighs in at 82lbs and has an over 24″ head.
Quite frankly, the first time I’ve personally seen that on a female, definitely a first for a Pocket Female. She has all of this on a functional, clean frame.
Pictured below is Swizz with a few of our other next generation young, up & coming females, Venom daughters ABKC Champion Venomline’s Lil Ting & Khaleesi.
Khaleesi is one major and a few points away from earning her Champion Title in the Pocket Class as well.
Grand Champion Rocko and Swizz knocked this one out of the park! Here are the puppies from the litter (all females) pictured at 6-7 weeks.
All of the puppies from this litter are spoken for. Check out our Available Puppies for Sale & Upcoming Breedings.
GRAND CHAMPION ROCKOMANIA X SWIZZ PUPPIES
Shortly after Swizz’s litter, and on the day before New Years Eve, Lil Ting was due. A little backstory, Lil Ting was ready to be bred the day before our wedding. We found out that she was close to being ready as we were checking into our hotel. Not to mention the vet was also closed on the following day.
So, we went ahead with the breeding anyway knowing the odds weren’t in our favor. 30 days later during her ultrasound appointment, we found out that she was pregnant.
LOUIS V LINE’S OMEGA CHAMPION VENOMLINE’S LIL TING
The vet initially told us during the ultrasound and even in the x-ray, that she was able to see two puppies. It turned out to be one HUGE puppy, Baby Mega.
Man, is this male is impressive! Champion Venomline’s Ting gave birth to her singleton puppy on December 30th.
OMEGA X TING SINGLETON PUPPY
We’re a little bummed that this male won’t be staying here, but unfortunately we’re are at max capacity. At the moment, we are unable to keep a few of our top picks off of recent breedings (picks that usually wouldn’t be be available for sale) We’re currently in the process of looking into a new house with more room.
The silver lining to all of this is that this little polar bear will be going to a great home where he’ll be spoiled and loved on around the clock by great new owners.
LOUIS V LINE’S VENOM X JADE
Every once in a while a breeding exceeds your expectations, and this was the case with Venom X Jade, a litter that was co-produced by us with our good friend Nate over at NMG Bullies.
Some may remember around a month back an incredible breeding with a rainbow of tri color puppies from the first time we teamed up with NMG Bullies.
We were so impressed with the results from that litter (Venom X Lucy Luciana) that we teamed up with Nate again with the Venom X Jade breeding. Man.. this one just clicked. Hard.
VENOM X JADE PUPPIES
Here are the pups from Venom X Jade. These males were available for sale, but both have been spoken for. Huge congratulations to Rick and Jeremy over at Small Town Dynasty Kennels.
Those were the males at 4 weeks, and then pictured at 8 weeks (below)
We were so impressed with the results from this litter that we made the decision to bring Jade to the young up & coming star- Venomline’s Rampage a 2X Venom son who is the very definition of what an Extreme American Bully should look like in my opinion.
Rampage has all of the exaggerated traits, exudes breed type (you’re not confusing this gorilla with a pit bull) and carries a ton of bone and mass without sacrificing functionality or movement. Not to mention that his head is absolutely massive.
This boy has it all, clean bite, straight fronts, good angulation and turn to stifle and can hold his own stacking next to any dog on the planet. Rampage is Now Open For Stud.
VENOMLINE’S RAMPAGE
Venomline’s Rampage is redefining the term “Extreme Build Pocket”
This is 2X Venom at just 18 months old.
All of the litters above have sold out, so unfortunately there isn’t anything available off of those litters. But we currently do have a few Omega puppies that are currently Available for Sale and also a Venom pup that has come back Available at a Discounted pet price.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with him either, he would make a great show dog or loving pet to the right family. The only reason he’s discounted at this price is because of his age. He’s a beautiful dog.
With Venom Closing to the Public, the demand for his puppies has gone through the roof and most of his litters have sold out within hours of posting them online. So, if you’re interested in reserving a puppy off of Venom, then your best bet it to check out our Upcoming Breedings and reserve your pick in advance, before the litter sells out.
In addition to the puppies mentioned above and on our Available Puppies page that are currently available, we have also just announced some of our Upcoming Planned Breeding Pairs to start off 2020. We are just waiting on the breeding banners to be finished before we announce another two breedings that aren’t pictured below.
We will be Announcing them for the first time publicly later this week. Trust us when we tell you that these are two breedings you definitely won’t want to miss out on.
Follow us on Facebook and be sure to “turn post notifications on” so you don’t miss out on new breeding announcements, puppies that become available and more.
UPCOMING BREEDINGS 2020
CHAMPION LIL TING & KING V
ABKC Pocket Champion Lil Ting and her chocolate tri sidekick, King V are two peas in a pod. They definitely won’t be up for any Best Behaved Dog awards anytime soon, but the two are best friends and do pretty much everything together.
These two are trouble. But also a lot of fun to watch.
VENOMLINE'S KING V
Poor Chunk… the man just wants to chill and enjoy his retirement and he’s got son King V dive bombing him from the couch while he’s napping and daughter Lil Ting dragging him across the floor by his collar wanting to play.
Chunk loves it though, he lets his kids get away with things that he’d never let other dogs get away with.
But his ball is off limits, and everyone knows that.
VENOMLINE | TOP POCKET AMERICAN BULLY KENNEL
THE FLASY TRI COLOR POCKET AMERICAN BULLY PUPPIES OF VENOMLINE
MY WEEKEND VISITING ONE OF THE TOP POCKET AMERICAN BULLY KENNELS
Article Originally by Tiffany Leipzig of BULLY KING Magazine on Medium
In our last article on the pocket American Bullies of Venomline- we covered some of the game changing young females top Stud Louis V Line’s Venom has produced. If you thought that was impressive, wait until you see the rest of the young and up and comers the top pocket bully kennel has kept hidden out.
In this article I’ll detail my visit to Venomline- traveling to South Florida to see first hand what all the buzz is about and check out the dogs in person. I got the chance to see them all, from the OG’s: World Famous pocket bully Studs & two of Louis V’s best sons Venom & Omega, down to the rising stars, the next generation of young Venomline Studs & females. This next generation of top young talent has been the topic of conversation in nearly every bully forum and Facebook group.
My assignment began when I was invited down to accompany owner Matt for a weekend and shadow along in what seemed like an entirely impossible schedule to keep up for any extended period of time. Honestly, the guy doesn’t stop. He’s got to be one of the hardest working breeders in the business. Not just that, but you can tell that the guy truly loves what he’s doing for a living.
If he didn’t, his schedule would be impossible to keep up. After just two days of trying to keep up, I was beat. I wasn’t just exhausted, I was also physically sore for a good 3–4 days following my visit to the pocket bully kennel and upon my arrival home I needed the full following weekend to recover. I did so by laying in bed and binge watching Orange Is The New Black in between cat naps. Yeah… I was that worn out.
My flight arrived on Thursday at 6:30pm at Palm Beach International. The West Palm Beach airport is much smaller and cozier than Fort Lauderdale Airport for anyone with the option between the two- I would highly recommend flying into West Palm Beach. Within 10 minutes of landing, everyone had exited the plane and I was on my way toward baggage claim.VISITING POCKET AMERICAN BULLY KENNEL VENOMLINE
By the time I had completed the short walk to baggage claim, my bags were already visible on the track. “That was fast” I thought. I quickly grabbed my things and text Matt that I would be outside waiting at passenger pickup when he arrived. Just a little backstory- I have worked for BULLY KING Magazine for a little over two years, but this is the first time that I have flown down to South Florida to meet the magazine owner and head of Venomline. So I’m a little anxious, but also excited.
After sending out the text that I had arrived and that I was outside at pickup, I see a Black Avalanche truck pulling up with the windows down and I can see two big smiling bully faces hanging out the window. I couldn’t help but laugh, thinking:
“That has to be him”
ARRIVING IN SOUTH FLORIDA
It was. My nerves upon arriving quickly left as Matt shook my hand and said “welcome to South Florida” complete with three American Bullies: Tyson, Venom and son King V are all smiling at me from the back seat. We got in around 7:30pm and Matt’s wife Deanne greeted me at the door with a big welcoming smile. Ok, “I already like her” I thought. We had dinner, hung out and I got to meet several of the pocket bullies who were just hanging out on the couch like they were little people.
We had dinner and some small talk. Deanne and I enjoyed some red wine before we all sat down for a movie before heading to bed. I’m not in bed for 10 minutes when my door slowly creeps open and I see this massive bully head staring right at me. It was Tyson, a 104lb Standard bully, with a 26″ head- definitely the biggest and most intimidating looking of the bunch. He invites himself up into my bed, lays his head on my feet and within 2 minutes is snoring. LOUD.
Ok. I don’t know if it’s physically possible to fall asleep with this level of snoring going on. I laughed before falling asleep, remembering that Matt had given me fair warning regarding Tyson’s snoring, but he had downplayed it quite a bit. “Tyson snores, just so you know, but it’s not that bad.. Personally, I like it, I think it’s soothing.. some people fall asleep listening to rainforest sounds, falling rain or thunderstorms.. Me? I prefer bully snores. Multiple at once is even better. It’s like a symphony.” Yea.. just like a symphony, I thought, realizing I did not pack ear plugs.
FRIDAY MORNING
My alarm is going off and it’s still dark outside. “This has to be a mistake.” It wasn’t. It was 6:15am when Matt edges my door door and hands me coffee. It took me another 15 minutes to get out of bed. “Who gets up this early?” I thought as Matt handed me a trash bag and asks me to follow him into his office. Thus began a day that started at the crack of dawn and didn’t end until 11:30 that night.
We didn’t stop moving or sit down the entire day. We fed and walked dogs, took care of puppies, knocked out breedings, dropped pups off to customers, picked others up from the airport, met visitors traveling in from all over the country and even a few from outside it, including a couple from the U.K and another from Brazil.
THE PUPPY PEN
I carried the trash bag into his office as requested not really knowing what I was doing or even who I was at this hour. Seriously, this coffee needs to kick in. The first task on hand was to clean the whelping box. Matt lifted two puppies out of the pen and set them in a tall laundry basket. Once they were out of the way, he began folding up all puppy pads and handing them to me. “Ok I should have gloves for this.”
After feeding the puppies, I followed Matt outside and was handed a hose and asked to spray down a patch of artificial grass-like turf. Once that was clean we brought it inside and set in the corner of the pen. Matt explained to me that the puppies recognize to use the restroom on the grass. This not only aids in potty training but also keeps the area where the puppies use the restroom separate from the area where they eat and rest. When I asked why this was important Matt explained that if the puppies were left to roll around in their own feces and filth like many breeders leave their litters to do, the puppies can get used to it and think this is acceptable oftentimes becoming more difficult to potty train later on.
Once all of the soiled pads were packed up, it was my job to take the trash out while Matt cleaned, mopped and replaced the puppies’ pen with fresh pads. It was spotless when he set the puppies back in and asked me to follow him into the kitchen so that we could prepare their breakfast “WE haven’t even had breakfast yet!” I thought as we filled the puppies bowls with dry puppy food, a chicken and rice formula, fish oil and Probalance– a supplement powder full of vitamins and nutrients.
THE ADULTS
Once the puppy pen was clean and the puppies were fat and happy, I watched as Matt dropped a stuffed squirrel in for them to play with. I admire the cuteness of the puppies for about 10 seconds when the door opens and I’m handed two red leashes. We attach leashes to collars and quickly head out the front door. Matt with Tyson, Chunk (Venom) and King V, while I have the females- Champion Lil Ting and Champion Lucianna. We walk all of them around the block for exercise and for them to use the restroom.
Once we get back to the house, Matt instructs me to grab Ting while he picks up Chunk (Louis V Line’s Venom) and loads him up in the truck. “We have to head to the vet” was all the information I was given. I turn to look in the backseat and Chunk is laying on his daughter Ting and using her as a pillow. “Chunk’s afraid of heights, and the car seat is high to him.”
THE ANIMAL HOSPITAL OF FORT LAUDERDALE
After close to 40 minutes of driving we arrive at Animal Hospital of Fort Lauderdale, one of the best vets specializing in reproduction on the East Coast. Chunk must come here a lot, because as soon as we pull up and he picks up sent he’s bouncing all over the place with excitement. As soon as Matt lifts him from the truck and sets him on the ground, Chunk full on sprints to the front door.
“Chunk’s here” we hear over the loud speaker, as we’re directed to room 6 where we wait for Andrea and Dr. Jones. Chunk completely loses his shit when he sees the familiar faces of his girlfriends, who will be collecting him for a breeding.
After being collected, Chunk cools off while his sample was prepared for shipment to a Customer in Texas, who will be using the fresh chilled semen on their show winning female. Matt steps out to call the Customer and let them know about the collection. “1.1 billion at 98% motility, you can expect FedEx to arrive with your package before 11am.” With Venom and Omega being two of the most sought after pocket bully Studs in the world, Venomline has had to limit their Stud Service to a maximum 3 per week for any given Stud.
MEETING PARTNER DARRYL
As soon as we finish at the Vet, Matt tells me that we are headed back North to meet with partner Darryl to get some updated photos of Venomline’s Savage (a 2X Venom son & littermate brother to Champion Ting & Rampage) Venomline’s Xena a Mye-Stro daughter & Venom granddaughter as well as Athena- a 2X Louis V Line’s Oro daughter.
After a 40 minute drive we pull back into Matt’s neighborhood and see Darryl waiting. Matt introduces me to his partner and then begins to assemble the camera while Darryl starts letting dogs out one at a time. As each dog exited the vehicle Matt would tell me about the dog’s lineage and the Sire and Dam.
Below is a recap of our busy day and some of the incredible pocket American Bullies that I was able to see and meet in person.
MEETING THE YOUNG UP & COMING POCKET BULLY STUDS & FEMALES
The first up was Savage, produced in the 1st Ever 2X Venom litter.
Check out: The First 2X Venom litter: From Pups to Adults
VENOMLINE’S SAVAGE | 2X VENOM AT 17 MONTHS

Next up was Venomline’s Xena. Xena was the lone puppy (a singleton) produced in the 1st Time ever Mye-Stro Meets Venom (Mye-Stro X Khaleesi) breeding. At just under 15 months, this was an extremely impressive and beautiful 13″ lilac tri color pocket bully.
VENOMLINE’S XENA
After helping Matt & Darryl with photos of Savage & Xena, I got to see Louis V Line’s Oro daughter Athena. Athena is a 2X Oro daughter (Oro X Bathena) At just 8 months old, Athena looks just like her Sire, Venom’s nephew Oro.
ABC’S THE RETURN OF ATHENA AKA “NALA”
VENOMLINE’S KING V
As soon as we finished with photos of Xena, Savage & Athena, it was close to noon. While I went to pickup food, Matt met with Jacqueline from Dawghouse Bullies for some updated pics of Apache. Apache (pictured below at 9 months) was produced in the Big Red X Panda breeding.
DAWGHOUSE/VENOMLINE’S APACHE
After finishing with Jacqueline, we met back at Matt’s house for lunch. As soon as we finished eating it was back to the puppy pen. Clean, replace, feed. I’m informed we have customers arriving to pick up their new puppy in around 20 minutes.Despite his busy schedule, Matt takes his time with each and every customer, captures photos of each of them with the dogs and takes his time to get talk and get to know each of them beyond their shared love and appreciation of this breed.
VISITORS TRAVELING IN
The first of the visitors traveling in were the Jones family. They drove all the way from Kansas City to pick up their female puppy from the Venom X Baci litter.
2pm: As soon as the Jones family was pulling out, the next visitors were arriving. James and his brother were pulling in after making the drive to South Florida from Michigan to use Venom at Stud. After a few quick photos Venom was collected and the Stud Service was complete.
In close to 30 days they will bring their female in for an ultrasound, and hopefully call with the good news- that she’s expecting.
3pm: Matt gives Chunk some ice cold water and then sets him on the couch, it’s only 3 o’clock and the little fella has already had a busy day. As we are heading out the door I can hear Chunk already starting to snore. I can’t help but laugh, this dog is living every dude’s fantasy.Next we bring out a couple of the puppies from the Venom X Baci litter for photos.
VENOM X BACI PUPPIES
Next we had Nate was arriving with puppies from Venom X Lucy for photos and videos. This litter is 7 weeks old and time for Customers to make their picks. Matt and Nate took photos and videos from every possible angle to help the Venomline Customers who weren’t able to travel in make the best selection possible. Once they finish with the photos and video of each individual puppy, I am handed the camera to upload all of the photos.
When the photos are finally uploaded, Matt and Nate start going through and selecting photos of each and begin sending them over to Customers with reservations on the litter. For the next two hours we are sending photos and videos. We take more as Customers request certain angles, ask to see bites or certain angles of the puppies stacked. I listen as Matt objectively breaks down the strengths and weaknesses of each puppy in the litter to help each customer make the right pick.
VENOM X LUCY LUCIANA
After Customers have made their picks Nate is back with his puppies from one of his females. In addition to the litter they partnered on, Nate also purchased a Venom Stud Credit to use on one of his own females (that wasn’t co-owned)
Ok now these are too friggin’ cute! They almost look fake, like little stuffed teddy bears. I’m in love! Don’t get me wrong, the other puppies are amazing, but these little bear cubs are only 5 weeks old. Just look at this little guy! He’s smiling the entire time I am holding him. I can’t. Just when I think I can’t take anymore cuteness, Nate is back with this little guy’s brother.
VISITORS IN FROM COLUMBIA
By the time Matt & Nate finish with the Customers making their picks on the Venom X Baci litter it’s close to midnight. I was exhausted, in bed by 10pm and slept like a baby. By time I was up the following morning Matt was off to meet visitors from Columbia, so I got up cleaned the puppy pen and fed the puppies and then went to breakfast with Deanne. By the time we got back Matt was waiting with the truck already loaded up and it was time to meet more customers traveling in, walk and exercise dogs, drop off puppies and knockout a breeding. We didn’t get back to the house until close to 9pm.
I had to get some rest, I was physically sore from squatting for photos, my hamstrings were on fire from bathing dogs and constantly lifting or picking up things. Clearly that’s embarrassing to admit, and a definite sign I need to sign up for a gym membership. But I’ll be honest, this was a lot more work than I expected. I think I’ll stick to writing. Here are a few photos from my last day at the pocket bully kennel, before flying out the following morning.
VENOMLINE: POCKET AMERICAN BULLY KENNEL
From the Pocket American Bully Kennel’s Website:
Originally from Houston, Texas, Venomline is now located in sunny South Florida.
Venomline is proud to have both in-house and produced several ABKC Pocket American Bully Champions. Their dogs have been featured in Rolling Stone Magazine, BULLY KING Magazine, Bully Girl Magazine, in Music Videos and on television (NBC, Barcroft Animals)
Venomline is known for producing some of the thickest dogs in the world, without sacrificing conformation or health. Their dogs are known for having massive heads, having dense bone, broad chests, wide shoulders, short muzzles and being packed rock solid with muscle on short & compact frames.
One thing that is pretty cool about the Pocket Bully breeder is that they are different than most “kennels” in the fact that they do not use a traditional kennel set up. Venomline bullies sleep in beds and are part of the family, they are not kept locked up in kennels all day. They pride themselves in producing dogs that not only have the “wow” factor, but an amazing temperament as well as being functional dogs.
Venomline dogs display impressive athleticism despite the heavy muscle/bone they carry, and the Pocket Bully Breeder has produced several Pocket ABKC Champions
Venomline dogs are DNA & Health tested, and pups come with a health certificate, ABKC registration paperwork, shots & de-worming as well as a health guarantee covering any genetic related issues. Venomline ships semen (Stud Service) worldwide.
View their World Class Studs. They are also experienced and familiar with the import process and regulations for shipping semen to any country.
Venomline (South Florida) is proud to announce the opening of their 2nd location- Venomline South which is located in North Carolina.
VENOMLINE STUDS
The Top Extreme Build Pocket Bully Studs of Venomline
THE FEMALES OF VENOMLINE
What separates Pocket Bully bloodline Venomline from many other breeders are the females that are used as part of their breeding program. Any breeder can use a top Stud, but Venomline knows it takes both a Top level Stud and a Top Quality female to produce consistent, quality litters with each breeding pair.
Females are integral to the success of any breeding program. Without using top quality females to match Top American Bully Studs, most litters end up being a watered down version of what was initially intended.
Knowing this, Venomline’s focus for the past 7 years has been primarily producing the best possible Pocket Females to match their Top Tier Studs. Foundation Females that are linebred to produce.
The result can be seen in their productions.

LOUIS V LINE'S VENOM X JADE

GrCh Philthy Rich, Champion Train Robber, GrCh G-Train, GrCh Beastro & Louis V
This is not a lower pick from the breeding. This is a top pick male that unfortunately we are unable to keep. This breeding was done solely for our camps. This was a breeder's breeding and wasn't done with the intention to sell the puppies from the litter.
This is a huge come up for someone looking for a stud, an impressive show prospect or loving family member. His nickname is "Teddy" because he looks like a real life teddy bear. He has been all smiles since day 1 and has one of the softest coats we've seen. He looks like he came from Build-A-Bear.

LOUIS V LINE'S OMEGA X CHAMPION VENOMLINE'S LIL TING
2X VENOM, 3X LOUIS V
❌ SOLD ❌
One of Louis V's best sons (Venom's 1/2 brother) Louis V Line's Omega bred to one of Venom's best daughter 2X Venom Champion Venomline's Lil Ting
This is the thickest male I've ever see at this age. 1/1 pedigree. The only way this boy will be sold is for the buyout price, or the discounted buyout with 2 Stud Credits back. We definitely want to use this boy in the future for our program. If he is sold, he will not be going to just any owner and hidden out. This is a Male that needs to be seen, with the potential to be a future Top Stud.
We would prefer someone active in the community, someone looking for a future stud, or show home. This boy is too impressive to be hidden out. We will be more than happy to keep him here with the camp. His current buyout price is pennies compared to what he could bring in as a Stud and the potential he's showing. This boy is the definition of an Extreme Pocket Bully.
This male has all the makings of a future Superstar. One of the best pups I've ever seen at such a young age.
You can't find this pedigree anywhere else, he's a true 1 of 1.

ABC'S THE RETURN OF ATHENA
Alphabullycamp's The Return of Athena pictured at 7 months.
Athena is a direct 2X Oro daughter (Louis V Line's Oro X Bathena) that we brought in to pair with Venom & Rampage. Athena to Venom will be the 1st ever 2X Oro meets Venom breeding and Rampage X Athena would be the 1st ever 2X Venom meets 2X Oro litter ever produced.
Her pedigree lines up perfectly for Venom & his sons. Louis V Line's Oro is Venom's nephew, he is the son of Venom's littermate brother Lil V. Expect both of these upcoming breedings to be extremely consistent without getting too close and causing issues or bringing out negative or hidden recessive traits due to the variation on Athena's bottom half of her pedigree.
